New Password Expiration Workflow
We've launched a new workflow to help users proactively update their passwords before they expire!
We require password updates every 90 days. This ensures that all user accounts are secure and helps us comply with the security requirements of major networks and streaming platforms. However, we want to ensure that this process isn't confusing, distracting, or cumbersome.
We've disabled the reminders on workstations that users previously received when their password was close to expiration. We felt that those were a distraction for something that didn't need to happen immediately.
Users will now receive emails 10 days and 3 days before their password expires. These emails include a link to go directly to a password update form. This presents each user with a simple method to update their password and gives them enough notice to do it at a time that is convenient for them.
We've also added a new banner at the top of the user dashboard that counts down 14 days before a user's password expires, along with a link to the password update form.
We hope this new workflow helps eliminate distractions and surprises and helps you focus on the thing that brings us all together: the awesome shows and movies that you are editing on Frame One.
